Duty Ledger · public record
Changelog
What shipped, what got corrected, dated. Updated at least monthly — silence between
entries is allowed; fake cadence is not.
- 2026-07-20 — Founding checkout is live. The $19/mo founding
seat is open and tested end-to-end (a real charge, refunded). Welcome emails now send from our own
verified domain (digest@dutyarchive.com), with replies reaching a monitored inbox. Doors fully open
before the July 24 surcharge sunset.
- 2026-07-16 — The doors open. Landing page with the printed
guarantee and refund policy; founding-list signup with the two document-access questions; digest
Issue No. 0 published as the permanent public sample; the
July 24 surcharge-sunset briefing; two new archive sources —
a USITC watcher recording which HTS revision is in force, and a CBP CSMS capture route (manual paste
first; CSMS has no public feed — that's the point of capturing it). Founding checkout opens after
payment-provider review; the list is the queue.
- 2026-07-14 — Correction, on ourselves. We overclaimed the
moat in our own docs ("a competitor can never recreate the archive"): old Federal Register documents
ARE reconstructable from the public API. What can't be reconstructed is the point-in-time record —
what the text said the day it published, captured then — plus sources with no historical API (CSMS)
and the dated per-SKU work we produce. Docs rewritten to say so. This changelog will treat every
future miss the same way.
- 2026-07-12 — The collector is live. Daily harvest of every
tariff-relevant Federal Register document (15:00 UTC cron) into a dated archive; backfill to
January 2025 complete (4,186 documents at close of day); daily green/red health email watching it.
Archive today: 4,288 documents.
