Duty Ledger · policy
Plain-language, and short on purpose.
Duty Ledger is a software subscription sold as a founding pre-order with working benefits from week one: a per-category duty digest, landed-cost statements built from your entry documents (first one ~14 days after your documents arrive; broker invoices alone are enough to start), and — at launch — the self-serve ledger application (entry-document upload, per-SKU duty history, federal-action radar, evidence-pack exports). The launch commitment is backed by the printed guarantee.
It is informational software, not a customs broker, law firm, or filing agent. It never files entries, never transacts with CBP on your behalf, and never provides classification or legal advice. Where classification matters, the service shows the government's text and routes the call to your licensed broker or your own filed entries. Where software assists (for example, suggesting where a product sits in the tariff schedule), suggestions stop at the 6-digit level and are always flagged for your confirmation — full codes come from your broker or your filed entries.
Every dollar figure is either a quotation from linked government or filed text, or a labeled estimate with its inputs shown. If a statement disagrees with your broker's invoice, tell us — the reconciliation, and the correction if we owe one, is made in writing and logged on the public changelog.
The service stores your email address, and — when you send them — your entry documents, for the sole purpose of producing your digest, statements, and ledger. No consumer personal data beyond your own business contact details is collected; nothing is sold or shared. Cancel and your data exports remain yours; ask and stored documents are deleted.
The service assists your decisions; it does not replace them, and total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. No liability is accepted for customs decisions, filings, penalties, or duties — those rest with you and your licensed broker.
Subscriptions are billed monthly by Paddle as merchant of record. Cancel anytime; the refund policy is part of these terms. The founding price ($19/mo) is locked for the life of your subscription.
